Troop 985 will encourage scouts to participate in fundraising activities by allocating
a portion of the funds generated to the scout’s individual account. The amounts
allocated will be determined by the Committee Chairman and the Scoutmaster. The
funds will remain in the troop bank account until used by the scout for the activities
listed below. The Treasurer will maintain a record of the funds raised by each scout,
the amount allocated, the amount used and the purpose.
The activities for which scout account funds may be used are
Funds remaining in a scout’s account after he turns 18 or leaves the troop earlier
will remain in the troop bank account to be used at the discretion of the troop
committee.
Funds in a scout account will not be used to finance an Eagle rank required service
project or any other individual activity.

- Troop sponsored campouts and high adventure trips
- Actual costs incurred for an Eagle Court of Honor and reception
